new project ( outside coffee table made from a pallet)

well this was an interesting project.  i have never really tiled anything before but had seen alot of it on t.v.  i recently went to visit a new friend and was inspired by the coffee table on her back porch.  a mosaic tile topped table made from a pallet.  so, i went to lowes and they gave me a large plastic tote full of tiles that were broken or discontinued for $5.00.  what a deal.  i decided to try to make one and here are the results.

i used mastic to stick the tiles down and then used black grout. i chose black because being an outdoor table it won't show the dirt as much.  all that is left to do is seal it.

i had great fun creating this from a pile of junk.

funny dog

well, i had emma( my american eskimo dog) brushed , groomed, teeth cleaned, shots etc.. the hair was so thick behind her back legs that they had to shave her.  now she looks like a bare ass baboon and she doesn't like it.  must be too breezy back there now. lol lol

busy day cleaning out junk from the basement. it was much cooler down there though. 2 trips to my friend's house, one to move furniture, the other to take a picture of a dog.

i scare myself

well, its almost time for my favorite time of the year. halloween of course. i bought a 5 foot high skeleton thing with a black shaby robe, kinda looks like a dementor. anyway, i put it together and my dog would not stop barking at it. too funny. so, i moved it out into the front entry mud room and now everytime i take the dog out i scare myself thinking someone is standing there. i chuckle everytime.
